Poem by Nils Peterson: Shooting the Breeze
A couple of Breezes were hanging out
in one of those isobars on 52nd street
where the jazz is cool listening to one
of their favorite songs when some
of the Heavy Weather mob moved in.
O’Day stopped crooning about caressing
the trees and started, "Don't know why,
there's no sun up in the sky." So
the Breeze Brothers blew the joint.
